Speeki is all focused on building your Sustainability programmes in one platform.
We recognise that to be successful in sustainability, you will need to collect and store lots of information about a lot of topics. Speeki helps you efficiently collect, manage, and analyse that data within the Speeki platform. This helps you manage your programmes, drive new initiatives, and support ESG disclosure and reporting.
The Speeki software, powered by Nicole, our AI agent, provides guidance every step of the way.
ESG and sustainability data is about 'words and numbers'. When you are building your programmes in key risk areas within Speeki, the platform guides you with what you need to provide. You don't need to be an expert on everything from GHG emissions to anti-bribery. That's our role.
Data is collected multiple ways within Speeki. Using questionnaires and web forms (i.e answering our curated questions on a particular topic), to collecting data from ESG survey, gathering data from our tools (e.g Carbon Lens our GHG emissions calculation module). For the more numerical data sets, you can upload pre-designed spreadsheets or connect to other systems.
Efficiently Collect and Analyse ESG Data
ESG and sustainability data is different across the topics covered by ESG. Some data is entirely narrative (i.e. words), some are mostly numerical (i.e numbers), and some are a hybrid of both. Speeki supports several options to enter data into the system. The more data, the more you will have to generate into the regulatory reports such as IFRS S1 & S2, TCFD, and CRSD, ESRS.
Spreadsheet Import
While a little 'old school', spreadsheets are great to upload numerical data into Speeki. We provide you with the templates, you gather and upload where indicated.
Direct Entry with answers
Most of ESG and sustainability is focused on the narrative. Speeki has guidance across more than 20 risk areas to ask questions for your direct entry. If you need help, Nicole, our AI assistant can do it for you.
Data from other tools
Speeki contains several ESG advisory tools that help to create data, e.g. data on reports made on the whistleblowing system, data collected from questionnaires you might send to suppliers or data you collect from disclosure forms.
Data from integrations
If you have data sitting in other company systems and you want to seamlessly send that across to Speeki, open APIs exist to connect systems and exchange data.
Speeki knows precisely the data you need and where you have gaps.
Depending on your programmes being run within Speeki (your materiality assessment will help define this) and your ESG disclosure requirements that you need to comply with (e.g. CSRD, ESRS, TCFD, IFRS S1, and S2) Speeki will direct you on what you need.
If you are not sure, our AI assistant, Nicole, offers over 1000 videos on how to answer questions and how to meet ESG data collection needs.
Words
ESG & Sustainability is 70% about words. You need to tell Speeki how you are doing things, how you are managing impact, and how you are focused on ESG governance.
Numbers
Metrics and numbers are important, but they are not meant to be the focus of ESG and sustainability reporting. The numbers must be supported with great narrative.
Building your programmes will help you generate the data.
Programmes first. Data second.
If you don't have a carbon management programme, or you don't have a DEI programme, or you don't have a whistleblowing programme, then how are you meant to produce an ESG data collection report? That's like not having any finance or accounting programme and pressing 'generate report' in your accounting system and expecting something to miraculously appear.
Here are three really simple examples to explain our model at Speeki about programmes first and reporting last.
GHG Emissions and carbon management
There is not much point in declaring that you are going to be carbon neutral or reduce emissions unless you have a comprehensive GHG programme. As part of that programme, you can identify current usage, build objectives, actions, and activity to achieve certain goals. Speeki provides you with the software to build a GHG carbon management system and track carbon emissions under one of our tools, Carbon Lens.
Waste Management and recycling
You might have a goal to reduce waste or adjust the mix of waste to increase recycling. However, without a waste management programme, with clear ownership, responsibilities, objectives, actions, tacking and oversight, not much will be achieved. If you build your waste management programme inside Speeki, the data should be easier to produce.
Modern Slavery in the supply chain
While it is admirable to say that you have 'zero' instances of reported modern-day slavery in your supply chain and you have a policy that bans such activity, that doesn't mean that there are no instances. Just those you don't know about. Build a modern-day slavery programme inside Speeki and then use the data generated from that programme towards your CSRD, ESRS, and internal disclosures.
FAQs
Find answers to frequently asked questions about ESG and sustainability data collection.
ESG data refers to environmental, social, and governance information that companies collect to measure their sustainability performance. The data consists of words and numbers, i.e. narrative and numerical data on how you are going about measuring impact and the results of that measurement.
ESG data is important because it helps companies identify risks, make informed decisions, and demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. It helps companies to have goals, develop objectives and actions and work towards a common outcome that is good for the company and good for the planet.
You can collect ESG data in many ways and many formats. Speeki automates some of that data collection in the forms of questions for submission, uploading spreadsheets, or connecting to other tools or outside services.
Speeki allows you to produce regulatory reports such as IFRS S1 & S2, CRSD, ESRS, TCFD and othes. You can also define your own reports.
Speeki helps you manage your ESG data collection programme efficiently, saving time and resources while ensuring accuracy and reliability.
