TCFD Reporting

The Speeki Sustainability Management system supports your sustainability reporting according to TCFD, the reporting standard used for climate reporting in many countries including the UK. The platform will guide you through the steps you need to build your dataset and then generate reports through our reporting module.

Speeki is your solution to climate reporting under TCFD.

TCFD is still a very popular reporting standard chosen by governments around the world.

It is one of the oldest climate-related reporting standards.

The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) provides a framework for companies to disclose climate-related risks and opportunities. While it doesn't provide specific questions, it offers four core areas of disclosure, each with several sub-categories.

  • Speeki solves this problem by providing a centralised platform that streamlines your TCFD reporting requirements.

  • By building your programmes inside Speeki, TCFD reporting is simple as our AI powered engine prepares your reports for you based on what you have in the Speeki platform.

Learn how Speeki helps with your TCFD reporting.

TCFD is looking for you to report out on key areas across ESG and sustainability. While there are not specific questions like many standards, there are key areas that need to be addressed. Due to the way that Speeki operates, where we have you build your programmes inside the Platform, thereby building up your datasets on ESG and sustainability, producing reports is very simple using Speeki. Producing your TCFD reports is simple.

Learn a little more about TCFD below and how Speeki addresses your TCFD reporting.

What is the TCFD?

The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) is a global framework for companies to disclose climate-related risks and opportunities. It provides a consistent structure for companies to manage and report climate-related financial information.

Who needs to follow the TCFD?

While not mandatory in all jurisdictions, the TCFD is widely adopted by companies across various industries, including finance, energy, and real estate. It's increasingly becoming a standard for climate-related reporting.

How can we start implementing the TCFD?

Begin your journey with Speeki by assessing your company's climate-related risks and opportunities. Identify relevant stakeholders, gather data, and develop a disclosure roadmap.  Then within the Speeki platform you start to build out some of your key programmes. These might be in areas like climate change, governance, risk management, and biodiversity. By building these programmes, following the guidance and videos provided by Speeki, you will start building your programmes on these key issues.

Are we implementing TCFD, technically?

Unfortunately, many industry players would say 'yes'. But, the answer is definitely 'no'. You are building climate programmes and starting to document your climate system to manage climate risks. You are also building out a governance model and documenting how you manage climate risk as part of your overall risk management strategy.   That is your focus. The 'implementation of TCFD'? That is just pressing 'generate report'.

How can we measure the effectiveness of our TCFD implementation with Speeki?

Again, technically, you are building programmes around climate risks. Your dashboard will tell you immediately how that programme development is tracking. The dashboard will also tell you how you are doing according to the preparation of your TCFD report.

I need to follow TCFD in some countries and other standards in other countries, can Speeki help?

Of course Speeki can help. We help you build programmes on key topics. You can then produce reports according to multiple standards. Using the Speeki approach this production of reports according to different standards is super easy.
