• mandatory Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reporting – large UK companies and financial institutions have been required since 2022 to disclose climate-related financial risks and opportunities under the TCFD
• Modern Slavery Act – businesses over a certain size must publish annual statements on efforts to prevent modern slavery in their operations and supply chains
• gender pay gap reporting – organisations with 250 or more employees must report on pay disparities between men and women
• Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) – companies must report on energy use, carbon emissions and efficiency actions.

• drafts of UK Sustainability Reporting Standards (SRS) S1 and S2, aligning sustainability reporting with global standards and introducing a two-year climate-first relief period
• a coalition with Kenya and Singapore to build high-integrity voluntary carbon markets, aiming to restore trust and support climate finance ahead of COP30
• government plans for the UK to become a global hub for sustainable finance, driven by consultations on transition plans and policies to attract green investments.
