Introducing Metrics: A Smarter Way to Track ESG Data
The Metrics module is now live, bringing a structured, intelligent, and data-driven approach to ESG reporting.
While the Programmes module allows you to document ESG initiatives and their narratives, Metrics focuses on the numbers. It helps you collect, organize, and track quantitative ESG indicators in line with global standards like IFRS S1 & S2, ESRS, and GRI—making reporting and compliance much easier.
🧠 Why Use Metrics for ESG Data Tracking?
Metrics is designed to make ESG data management simpler, more consistent, and more aligned with your reporting needs:
- Data Standardization with Flexibility
- Capture both standard and custom KPIs using your own formats, frequencies, and units.
- Automated Target Tracking
- Define ESG goals like “Net-zero by 2040” and let Metrics auto-calculate annual progress targets.
- Smart Excel Upload & Mapping
- Upload your existing spreadsheets and map columns directly to platform fields—no manual re-entry required.
- Upcoming: Integrated Narrative + Numerical Data
- Link your ESG initiatives (in Programmes) to data (in Metrics) for a full picture of action and impact.
📊 What You Can Track in Metrics
You can use Metrics to track a wide range of ESG data points, including:
- 📊 GHG emissions and reduction targets
- ⚡ Energy consumption and % renewable energy
- ♻️ Waste generation and % recycled waste
- 👩💼 Gender diversity in leadership and board roles
- 💰 Anti-bribery cases and legal proceeding costs
Additional ESG indicators aligned with ESRS may include:
- Water consumption and intensity
- Air pollutant emissions (NOx, SOx, PM)
- Workplace injuries and fatalities
- Employee turnover and retention rates
- Gender pay gap
- Training hours per FTE
- Human rights incidents reported
- Community investment and donations
- Supplier screening and ESG risk metrics
- Confirmed corruption or fraud cases
- Cybersecurity incidents and data breaches
- GHG emissions intensity (per revenue or unit)
- Climate risk exposure (physical and transition)
