If you are applying SPK DDMS2000: 2026 to your business, then you need Speeki Engage as your technology solution.

Standards and complex and have many requirements and expectations for compliance are high. Using a technology system to build and document your management system is essential.

Speeki Engage has been designed specifically for the application of the SPK DDMS2000:2026 standard.

What is SPK DDMS2000 and why is it important?

Due Diligence has moved from voluntary commitment to governed obligation. Regulators, investors, customers and communities now expect organisations not just to conduct due diligence on suppliers at selection but to manage them throughout their relationship lifecycle – systematically, documentably and in a way that can be independently verified.

SPK DDMS2000:2026 is the standard that defines what that management system looks like.

It covers the full architecture of corporate due diligence governance from risk assessment and strategy through to operational controls, performance monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement – in a single, integrated, certifiable framework.

The Speeki Engage® | ESG and Sustainability Assurance platform manages every element of that framework in one platform, and Speeki's experienced auditors certify it.

Why did Speeki build SPK DDMS2000:2026?

SPK DDMS2000:2026, the Speeki Due Diligence Management System standard, is the first certifiable whole-of-programme due diligence management system standard.

Published by Speeki and structured in broad alignment with ISO's Harmonised Structure for management system standards, it provides organisations with a comprehensive, requirements-based framework for establishing, implementing, documenting, governing and continuously improving a due diligence management system across a company.

While most companies have some form of due diligence happening in their company’s it is often unstructured, ungoverned and uncontrolled. SPK DDMS2000 is that structure, that governance model and a set of controls to manage and leverage your due diligence.

Why do we need an actual standard?

Every major compliance regime of the last two decades — anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, forced labour, sanctions, human rights and environmental law — leans on due diligence as its central mechanism. Not one of them defines, with any real precision, what a company actually has to do to satisfy it. Into that vacuum, organisations built whatever was cheapest and fastest to defend: a questionnaire a counterparty filled out about itself, a screening subscription, a scoring matrix that quietly buries the one finding that mattered. A policy, a vendor, and a workflow tool, called a system, when none of them decide who's competent to look, how deep to look, or what happens when the answer is inconvenient.

Every other serious discipline solved this problem long ago. Nobody argues quality management, workplace safety, or anti-bribery controls should be left to each company's own judgement, invented from scratch, with no external benchmark to test against. Due diligence was simply the discipline nobody had gotten around to yet — despite carrying some of the highest legal, financial, and reputational stakes in the business. A standard doesn't remove an organisation's judgement about its own risk appetite; it makes that judgement a real, accountable decision instead of an assumption nobody signed off on. Without one, "we did due diligence" is a phrase. With one, it's a claim someone can actually verify.

How does the technology help implement the standard?

Building the standard within the Speeki Engage platform is the easiest and most efficient way to document the managemet system. If you choose to gain certification from Speeki Sentinel, your data is already in the system ready to be audited.

The Speeki Engage® | ESG and Sustainability Assurance platform is structured around the requirements of SPK DDMS2000:2026, mapping every feature directly to what the standard requires organisations to document, maintain and demonstrate.

Every record is timestamped, attributed, version-controlled and retrievable – giving you a complete, clause-mapped evidence base that satisfies auditors.

What’s more, it is a free standard, and use of the Speeki Engage® | ESG and Sustainability Assurance platform to manage and document SPK DDMS2000:2026 is also free.

Always audit-ready – and connected to your auditors

A due diligence management system certification is a fundamentally different challenge from conducting due diligenec and background checks everyday.

A certified management system is assessed against documented, continuous evidence of how the programme is governed, managed and improved at every level of the organisation. Audit readiness for SPK DDMS2000:2026 is not something that can be manufactured in the weeks before an assessment. It is either built into the way the programme is managed or it is not there at all.

When your due diligence management system is managed continuously inside the Speeki Engage® platform, audit readiness is a permanent state. Every governance structure is documented, every operational control is traceable and every section-mapped piece of evidence is exactly where a Speeki auditor expects to find it.

If you choose to proceed to certification, the platform removes all friction from the audit relationship. Your Speeki audit team works within the same environment – reviewing documentation, raising observations, issuing findings and tracking corrective actions in real time, without separate data rooms, parallel document portals or email-driven evidence requests.

The Speeki Sentinel assessment and the structured audit methodology for SPK DDMS2000:2026 is conducted directly within the platform, giving your leadership and your auditors a shared, real-time view of where the management system stands at every point in the certification cycle.

When your due diligence management system lives in the Speeki Engage® | ESG and Sustainability Assurance platform, your auditors don't arrive to inspect your programme. They arrive to confirm what the platform already shows.
