Manage your human rights management system with Speeki.

A new ISO standard is coming for Human Rights: ISO 37200. While it is still in final stages of development, it will replace a previous 'country standard' in the UK known as BS 25700.
This document will provide organizations with guidance for managing the risk of human trafficking, forced labour and modern slavery including prevention, identification, response, remediation, mitigation, and reporting in its operations, supply chains and its wider operating environment.
It is intended to help organizations ensure they are acting responsibly and ethically by providing a holistic approach to addressing human trafficking, forced labour and modern slavery (HTFLMS) that puts people at the heart of an organization.
The potential benefits of this standard include demonstration of organizational commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) which helps build confidence in your organization’s governance and ethics.
This continues the theme of the 37xxx group of standards that focus on governance.
No business is immune from modern day slavery and human rights abuses. Manage your compliance with human rights and International standards with Speeki.
There are now well developed standards to manage human rights risks. The BS 25700 is a UK based standard that is now being updated and made 'international' in the form of ISO 37002. While this is still in development, BS 25700 can be used by companies to guide their human rights programme development.
There are other related standards released by ISO, notably, ISO 26000 is an international standard that provides guidance on social responsibility for organizations of all types and sizes, both public and private. Published in 2010, it outlines seven core subjects of social responsibility: organizational governance, human rights, labor practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and community involvement and development.
The standard emphasizes that social responsibility should be integrated into an organization's overall strategy and implemented throughout all levels of the organization, taking into account stakeholder expectations and applicable laws while contributing to sustainable development and the welfare of society.
