Every organisation has sustainability commitments. Very few have a sustainability management system. There is a significant difference
Speeki Engage® | ESG & Sustainability Assurance platform gives organisations a purpose-built platform to implement, document, and maintain compliance with SPK CSMS1000:2026 — the Speeki Corporate Sustainability Management System standard — a new certifiable whole-of-programme sustainability management system standard, with accredited certification through Speeki built in.

What is SPK CSMS1000 and why is it important?
Sustainability has moved from voluntary commitment to governed obligation. Regulators, investors, customers, and communities now expect organisations not just to make sustainability commitments, but to manage them — systematically, documentably, and in a way that can be independently verified.
SPK CSMS1000:2026 is the standard that defines what that management system looks like. It covers the full architecture of corporate sustainability governance from materiality assessment and strategy through to operational controls, performance monitoring, sustainability reporting, and continuous improvement in a single, integrated, certifiable framework.
Speeki Engage® | ESG & Sustainability Assurance platform anages every element of that framework in one platform, and Speeki's accredited auditors certify it.
Why did Speeki build SPK CSMS1000:2026 ?
SPK CSMS1000:2026, the Speeki Corporate Sustainability Management System standard is the first certifiable whole-of-programme sustainability management system standard.
Published by Speeki and structured in broad alignment with ISO's Harmonised Structure for management system standards, it provides organisations with a comprehensive, requirements-based framework for establishing, implementing, documenting, governing, and continuously improving a corporate sustainability management system across all material ESG topics.
Unlike domain-specific standards which govern one defined area each SPK CSMS1000:2026 governs the whole programme.
This is not a competition between SPK CSMS1000:2026 and ISO domain standards. Existing ISO certifications are recognised within the SPK CSMS1000:2026 assessment — organisations holding ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 37001, ISO 50001, or ISO 42001 certifications will find that those certifications reduce assessment scope for the corresponding clauses.
The standards are explicitly complementary: domain standards provide depth within each ESG domain; SPK CSMS1000:2026 provides the governance architecture across all of them.
Why does Sustainability need yet another standard?
Most organisations approach sustainability the same way they approached compliance twenty years ago — as a reporting exercise rather than a management discipline. They publish a sustainability report, disclose metrics against a framework like GRI or ISSB, and consider the obligation met. What they have built is a reporting system.
What they need is a management system.
The difference matters enormously — to regulators, to investors, and increasingly to the courts and enforcement authorities that are being asked to hold organisations accountable for sustainability commitments that turned out to be undocumented, ungovernced, and unverifiable.
A sustainability management system is not a report. It is the structured, documented, governed architecture that sits behind the report — the materiality assessment process that determined what topics are managed, the strategy and objectives that define what the organisation is trying to achieve, the operational controls that manage material impacts across business units and supply chains, the monitoring and measurement systems that track performance, and the review mechanisms that drive continuous improvement.
Without that architecture, sustainability reporting is assertion. With it, sustainability reporting is evidence.

Always Audit-Ready — and Connected to Your Auditors
Sustainability management system certification is a fundamentally different challenge from sustainability reporting. A report is produced once a year. A certified management system is assessed against documented, continuous evidence of how the programme is governed, managed, and improved — every day, across every material topic, at every level of the organisation. Audit readiness for SPK CSMS1000:2026 is not something that can be manufactured in the weeks before an assessment. It is either built into the way the programme is managed, or it is not there at all.
When your sustainability management system is managed continuously inside Speeki Engage, audit readiness is a permanent state. Every materiality record is current, every governance structure is documented, every operational control is traceable, and every section-mapped piece of evidence is exactly where a Speeki auditor expects to find it.
If organisations engage Speeki as their certification body for this standard, the platform removes all friction from the audit relationship. Your Speeki audit team works within the same environment — reviewing documentation, raising observations, issuing findings, and tracking corrective actions in real time, without separate data rooms, parallel document portals, or email-driven evidence requests.
The Speeki Meridian assessment the structured audit methodology for SPK CSMS1000:2026 is conducted directly within the platform, giving your leadership and your auditors a shared, real-time view of where the management system stands at every point in the certification cycle
