Environmental management has raised its standards. Your platform should too.
Speeki Engage® | ESG & Sustainability Assurance platform gives organisations a purpose-built platform to implement, document, and maintain compliance with ISO 14001:2026 — the newly published revision of the world's most widely adopted environmental management system standard with certification built in when you're ready.

What is ISO 14001 and why is it important?
ISO 14001:2026 has now been officially published, replacing ISO 14001:2015 and marking the start of a formal three-year transition period. For organisations already certified, the clock is running. For organisations yet to certify, the 2026 edition sets a sharper, more demanding baseline with stronger expectations around climate change, lifecycle thinking, supply chain accountability, and structured change management.
The core structure remains intact, but expectations have been raised in several important areas. Key changes include stronger emphasis on climate-related risks and opportunities integrated into the context of the organisation, clearer requirements for risks and opportunities including explicit consideration of emergency situations, greater emphasis on lifecycle perspective from sourcing to end-of-life, a new clause on managing organisational changes that may impact the EMS, and expanded focus on externally provided processes, products, and services across the supply chain
The Documentation Challenge
ISO 14001:2026 is a documentation-intensive standard. Every clause carries explicit requirements for recorded information from the environmental policy your leadership must approve and communicate, to the aspect and impact evaluations your teams must maintain, to the audit trails your certification body will inspect.
The 2026 edition raises those documentation expectations further, with new requirements for change management records, more structured management review inputs and outputs, and stronger evidence of lifecycle and supply chain considerations.
Without a platform to organise and maintain that documentation, organisations are left with exactly the kind of fragmented, unstructured evidence base that fails under audit scrutiny — and that makes the transition from ISO 14001:2015 to 2026 far harder than it needs to be.
The most common documentation failures in EMS programmes:
Environmental policy exists but lacks current leadership approval or communication evidence
Aspect and impact registers are outdated, incomplete, or not linked to operational controls
Legal and compliance obligation registers are maintained sporadically and not systematically reviewed
Objectives and targets are set but progress is not tracked or documented
Risk registers, aspect-impact evaluations, and planning documentation are not refreshed to reflect organisational or environmental changes SGS
Internal audit programmes exist on paper but reports, findings, and corrective actions are not systematically maintained
Management reviews happen but outputs and decisions are not formally recorded
Speeki Engage® | ESG & Sustainability Assurance platform is structured around the requirements of ISO 14001:2026, mapping every feature directly to what the standard requires organisations to document, maintain, and demonstrate.
Every record is timestamped, attributed, version-controlled, and retrievable — giving you a complete, clause-mapped evidence base that satisfies auditors and supports a smooth transition to the 2026 edition.

Every aspect register is current, every legal obligation is tracked, every objective has a documented performance trail, and every piece of clause-mapped evidence is exactly where an auditor expects to find it.
Always Audit-Ready — and Connected to Your Auditors
For organisations that engage Speeki as their certification body, the platform removes the friction from the audit relationship entirely. Your Speeki audit team works within the same environment reviewing documentation, raising observations, issuing findings, and tracking corrective actions in real time, without parallel document portals, data exports, or email threads. There is no handover point between compliance management and audit preparation. They are the same continuous process, in the same place, visible to the same people.
For those that use the Speeki Engage® | ESG & Sustainability Assurance platform, but engage auditors other than Speeki, the same principles apply. Your audiors can be granted access to your Speeki Engage® | ESG & Sustainability Assurance platform.
