Only Speeki can issue a Speeki Meridian™ certificate. The standard is ours. The certification is ours. Currently, no other body has authority to certify against SPK CSMS1000:2026.
The standard is public. SPK CSMS1000:2026 is a published standard available from Speeki. Every requirement that your organisation is assessed against is transparent, documented, and available before you begin.
The outcome is binary. Your CSMS either meets the standard or it does not. There are no tiers to climb, no participation levels, no bronze, silver, or gold. A Speeki Meridian™ certificate means you passed. Nothing else means anything.
This Is Not a Reporting Standard
You have reporting obligations. You have assurance. You might even have a ratings score. None of that certifies how you manage sustainability.
The sustainability profession has built an impressive infrastructure for measuring and communicating sustainability performance. Reporting standards tell you what to disclose. Assurance standards confirm your disclosures are accurate. ESG ratings assess how comprehensively you report. Each of these tools has value. B Corp — Values and outcomes vs management system
B Corp certification confirms that a company has demonstrated minimum social and environmental performance on B Lab's B Impact Assessment and has committed to stakeholder accountability in its governance documents.
It is primarily a self-reported questionnaire with selective verification by B Lab. It is not an independent audit of the management system that produced the performance, and it does not assess governance, data quality, or operational controls.
Speeki Meridian™ and B Corp are complementary, not competing.
B Corp confirms what you value and the outcomes you've achieved. Speeki Meridian™ confirms how you govern and manage the programme that produces those outcomes. Many organisations hold or will hold both.
vs ISO 14001 / 45001 / 37001 — Single domain
ISO management system standards are the closest category to Speeki Meridian™ as they are independent, audited, pass/fail management system certifications.
The difference is scope. ISO 14001 governs environmental management only. ISO 45001 governs OHS only. ISO 37001 governs anti bribery only. Each is rigorous within its domain and silent outside it.
SPK CSMS1000:2026 covers all ESG domains in a single integrated system environmental, GHG, energy, OHS, compliance, social, circular economy, and AI governance alongside the governance, strategy, risk, culture, reporting, and continual improvement architecture that holds everything together.
Existing ISO certifications are recognised within the Speeki Meridian™ assessment and typically reduce assessment scope for the relevant clauses.
vs vs ESG ratings - disclosure quality vs management quality
ESG ratings assess what organisations disclose about their sustainability performance through public data and voluntary questionnaires.
The rating reflects the quality and comprehensiveness of the disclosure, not the quality of the management system behind it. A company with excellent sustainability communications can outrate a company with better actual performance. A company can receive a strong ESG rating while having no meaningful governance of sustainability, no independent data controls, and no systematic approach to managing ESG risk.
Speeki Meridian™ does not measure disclosure. It audits the management system. No questionnaire. No public data scraping.
